A three-star stay on Madrid's most famous shopping street, with Gran Vía and Callao metro stations just steps away.
About
Petit Palace Cliper-Gran Via sits on the corner of Gran Vía and Calle Chinchilla, putting you in the centre of Madrid's shopping and theatre district. The Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor are within easy walking distance, and two metro stations — Gran Vía and Callao — are minutes away on foot.
The hotel keeps things straightforward: a 24-hour reception, air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs, and a breakfast that guests repeatedly single out. Small extras like lemonade on arrival and bike hire at reception add a local touch, while the pet-friendly policy includes bowls, beds and treats for four-legged guests.

8.3Verified guest“Breakfast was among the best I've had — plenty of choice and everything tasted fresh. The staff were brilliant and helped me plan which sights to prioritise. My room was snug and comfortable, and the bed was genuinely great. I'd recommend it without hesitation.”
8.3Verified guest“Breakfast met expectations with healthy options that suited everyone, and the room was bright with a king bed.”
8.3Verified guest“Everything here is very good — this was my second stay and it was just as enjoyable. The welcome is warm and attentive, and the location is superb, just minutes from a big city square and surrounded by shops and metro stops. The downstairs bar is a bonus.”
8.3Verified guest“The location is fantastic, just a few metres from Gran Vía, and you can't hear the traffic or crowds. Gran Vía and Callao metro stations are both within walking distance, and there are theatres, cinemas and restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly, the lemonade on arrival is a nice touch, and the corridors are quiet — even with construction next door, you hear nothing.”
8.3Verified guest“We gave an envelope to Nazareth at reception, who welcomed us with a smile and shared useful information. But the room (206) needs attention: a broken shower screen that wouldn't close, a hydromassage shower that didn't work properly, stained joints and grubby edges. Though it's set up for four, we were only two — and I wouldn't want to try four. The wardrobe left our suitcase dirty. The walls could do with a fresh coat of paint, and the soundproofing is non-existent — you feel like the neighbours are in your room. Other rooms may vary, but ours needs real improvement. The best part was reception. This isn't meant as destructive criticism, just an honest account.”
8.3Verified guest“The location made exploring Madrid's streets easy, and the breakfast spread each morning was excellent — fresh pastries and plenty of variety. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly with recommendations.”
